Women Suffragette

Since women's voting rights were a big problem in the early 1840's, our reading topic this term is "votes for women". Mia, Nazella, Javeylor, Mishaan, Jorja and I have been working collaborativly to make this 25 word summary about women's suffragette. Watching a youtube video we choose 6 important words and put them in our summary about women's right to vote/women's suffragettes.

Dance

Today in dance our main focus was on different movements we could do with our bodies. We were also working on bound and free flow dance movements. We also were working on our own warm ups. I was working collaboratively with Sakae and Jorja. This was really fun and I am looking forward to next week.

Music - Dance

This term for music, we are working on dance. Jorja, Sakae and I made a warm up exercise. A warm up loosens joints and increases blood flow into our muscles.  Using our smart searching skills we decided to get some ideas off the internet. It was really fun and it really energized our bodies. Next time,  we need to practice our confidence.

Omaru River

Our inquiry focus for today was the Omaru River. This river is located in East Auckland, Glen Innes. Jorja and I were talking about the positive side effect of the river and the negative side effects. To share our learning we made a DLO about the Omaru River. We added Images to back up our text. The blockage was caused by wet wiped flushed down the toilet. Blockages in the river can make the water stagnant and polluted.

What is a River? - Inquiry

Today for inquiry we were learning about the features of a river. We were paired up and my partner was Jorja. We watched a video about a river and had to write a 25 sentences story about a river. We then made a google drawing. We had a picture of the Tamaki River. We had to identify and describe the picture. This is my DLO.
