This terms inquiry, LS2 have been learning about our local community. We were put into groups of 3 and choose one of the groups/people who help protect our community. Lyric, Sylis and I choose to write about firefighters.

Screencastify - Finding Fractions Of An Amount
This is my screencastify solving 60% of 25. We first had to complete a DLO about our maths. We then wrote about what we were going to say while we screencastify. After completing this process, we printed our document and started to record our learning. I tried to show my working in many ways possible. I found 2 different strategy's solving 60% of 25. I explained how I solved this. This is a great way to share our learning with other people so they could learn new things.

Current Events - The Waitemata Harbour
Today we were focusing on current events. We had to complete a current event about the Auckland Council planning an extra $600m to clean up the Waitemata Harbour. We had to answer when?, where?, Who?, What?, Why?, How? what the different points of views are and what we think the author wanted us to learn from this article.

Rippa Rugby Interschool
Today was the Rippa Rugby interschool. We went down to Dunkirk Park to compete with other schools. The year 8's, 7s, 6s and 5s were in 1 group. We first played Point England School and unfortunately we lost. Our 2nd game was with Glen Innes School and we lost again. Our 3rd game was against Tamaki Primary, we lost again. Our last game was with Glen Brae School. and we lost again. Even though we lost all of our games we had a good time and tried our best.
