For this activity I had to choose a sentence out of three and end it. For full points I had to post 8 - 10 sentences.
I looked around and no one was there. It was my birthday and nothing seemed unusual. I thought my my friends were surprising me. I heard foot steps down stairs, I went and saw a shadow. I was freaking out. I went closer to the living room. Opened the door. " SURPRISE!! " It was my friends and family. I was so surprised and happy.
Good morning Zahra,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun story you have written! I love to read about happy experiences and this is definitely one of them! Have you ever had a surprise birthday party in real life?
It is actually my partner, Andy's, birthday today and I thought about throwing him a surprise party. He is usually the one who organises everything so I wanted to give him a little break, however, he isn't very good with surprises so I decided to tell him that I'd invited people over! I'm so glad that I told him because he got all excited about the party and spent yesterday cleaning the house to get ready for everyone to come over tonight. It's going to be a lot of fun, I think!
Can you remember your favourite birthday party? What did you do to celebrate? One of my favourite birthday parties occurred many years ago. I was turning 10 and my mom let me invite 8 girls over for a sleepover party. We had to much fun! We ate pizza and watched movies. I still remember that we stayed up most of the night and eventually fell asleep in my basement at about 3:00 a.m!
I am looking forward to hearing about your favourite birthday, when you have a minute to write back!
Cheers,
Rachel :)
Kia ora Zahra,
ReplyDeleteWell done on finishing the first week of your Summer Learning Journey! I really enjoyed reading your short story about the surprise birthday party. Have you ever had a surprise party before?
One time a few years ago I went down to Mt Ruapehu for a weekend at the snow for my birthday. When I got down there and opened the door to the cabin I was staying at, all of my friends jumped out to surprise me! I think I must have jumped a metre in the air! It was so much fun though. I was very happy to see them all and have them surprise me like that.
I'm looking forward to hearing all about your favourite birthday party too. I hope you have a spare minute to write back and tell us all about it!
Dan.
