Develop reading techniques for finding information in a text
Once you have found the right book or website by scanning, you need to skim to find the best, most relevant information.
Read the first paragraph or introduction.
Read the topic sentences in the other paragraphs. (this is usually the first sentence)
Look at the images, do they match what you are looking for.
Read the conclusion.
Decide if the resource is useful enough to read in full.
Skim read this article.
Look up the meaning of these terms, then write a definition IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
