How to have a fun summer

Instructions: How to have fun 14.10.14

1. The first thing you will have to have is chips of food.
2. Next you will need a backyard.
3. After that you will need to have hats.
4. Make sure you have a trampoline in your backyard ready.
5. Wear some summer clothes so you don’t get hot.
6. You will also need water from the hose or tap
7. Get some water balloons and fill them up.

   Now you are ready to mix up all the ingredients.

Eat some chips on your backyard so you can get ready. After that wear your hat because it is going to be really sunny. Get you water balloons ready on the trampoline. Get on the trampoline with your water balloons. Get someone to turn on the hose and spray the water on you while you jump on the trampoline. Have a few breaks and eat food so you don’t get hungry while you are playing. After that smell some fresh air so you can stay fresh while playing. Play this for a few hours and you will be cold and hot. Now you can have a fun summer and be cool.

Watching the film festival movies.

In the afternoon today panmure bridge school went to the hoyts cinema to watch the film festival. My favorite movie was Tamiki college master chef. This movie was about some students challenging to see who is the winner of cooking. There were presenters speaking and they memorized there part. My second favorite movie was from Point England school and the movies were called Me TV and bowl cut. Me TV was about some people watching TV and they saw a horror movie after the horror movie they entered the TV. The movie bowl cut was about vodapone and the bowl cut that has taken New Zealand by air. I really enjoyed the movies and I hope we watch them again.

Pentominoes

Yesterday we started our Pentominoes grid and it started to be fun. After that it started to be challenging and hard. We had to put all the 5 block pieces on the grid and tried to make it fit. After that we managed to put all the pieces together and we done a great job. I learned that pentominoes are 5 squared shapes.

Term 3 Reflection

Junior school Cultural show

Yesterday afternoon room 7 went down to the hall to watch the juniors cultural dance. Room 4 went up the stage to perform their dance. Room 4s dance was about Samoa and it was really awesome.. After that room 1 went up and they performed a Maori dance. The girls were wearing some bunny ears and they looked cute. After that room 2 went up and they performed a Tongan dance. There Tongan dance was really awesome . They wore sone lavalavas and the boys wore some white t-shirts. After that my favorite show was room 3. Room 3s dance was a Cook island dance. There dance was awesome and unbelievable. They had some drummers drumming to there song and they were singing there song. The drummers were really good. After that some people spoke and room 3 came back up again. Raera and Nicky were dancing on the stage. Nicky was slapping his thighs and it was really funny. Raera was shaking her hips and it was really splendid. After that Mr. Johnston our principal came up and told us how good they have done and that really couraged the classes.

One of my favorite parts of the whole cultural show was when Nicky was slapping his thighs because it was funny, awesome, unbelievable and amazing..All of the classes have done a very great job and I am really proud of the classes.

We wear shoes

We should wear shoes because they keep our feet clean. Shoes help your feet to be clean and you don’t need to wash them.

Shoes are things that you wear on your feet. Shoes have laces and some shoes have zippers on the sides. Some shoes are called sandals, boots and many others. Some shoes can be old or new.

We wear shoes because your feet don’t need to get dirty. When your feet are dirty you have to scrub your feet everyday. You have to scrub, scrub ,scrub everyday and you will get really tired. Thats why you wear shoes.

In school people wear shoes because they're part of your uniform. Some people at school have to wear the same shoes so everyone at school can look tidy with your shoes. People in school wear black shoes because its part of your uniform. People wear black shoes for an a assemble and you will look clean. When visitors come and look at your class you will look tidy by wearing shoes.

You wear shoes so your feet don’t get hurt. When you're not wearing your shoes your feet hurt and something might get stuck to your feet. Lots of things can get stuck to your feet and prickles hurt the most when you're not wearing your shoes. Your feet hurt and they get numb when something stabs you on the feet. You should wear shoes because your feet won’t get hurt.

Some shoes are comfortable for you and some aren’t. Shoes can be annoying but you have to get a comfortable shoe that you will wear. Some shoes are annoying and some are small. If you have a comfortable shoe you will wear it alot outdoors and it will keep you feet clean.   

Shoes are things that you wear on your feet and some can be old or new. You should wear shoes because they keep you feet clean and black shoes are for school. Some shoes are comfortable and some aren't but remember to wear shoes.

What I want to be when I grow up 8.6.2014

When I grow up I want to be a doctor who checks eyes. I want to be a doctor to check eyes because I go to eye love eye care every year to check my eyes. When I go there I really like it because we can choose our own glasses. The glasses that they have there are really pretty, simple and beautiful. I like it there because they have nice people there to work with. I want to be a worker because I can help people who have a poor sight. I want to help because they might need glasses.

Tongan language week

Today is the start of Tongan language week. Today I learned some of the colors. My goal is to learn all of the animals name in Tongan. I had fun learning Tongan.

A volcano Irrupting in Iceland

I have learned that there is going to be a volcano irrupt in Iceland. It may be the countries biggest volcano irrupt. Airport people have warned the people that the aeroplanes have closed and they have warned them that there are going to be a volcano irrupt. If the volcano irrupts it may cause floods or might throw out clouds of gas which could effect places of Europe. Volcano experts are continuing to keep a close eye at the area.

I would migrate to Australia because I hear that they have lots of different things. I want to go there because I want to be close to my cousins and I haven't seen them for 6 years. I think they have nice beaches and you can relax on the sand.

Why sports drinks are bad for Children

Today in reading we have learned that sports drinks are bad for children.
People are saying that drinks are bad for childdren because is has lots of sugar in them. When young kids go to saturday sports games they should take water because drinks are too unhealthy. Drinks make people get diabetes because drinks have to much sugar in them. Most people think that drinks are good for them but they are not. Instead of buying lots of drinks you should fill up a bottle of water so you don't waste your money. Drinks don't make you hydrated because they had lots of sugar. Water makes you hydrated because its only plain water.

Going To The Museum

I was so exited when I stepped into the Museum. The Museum was so massive and huge. When we first started our adventure we went to classes. We learned about what people would take with them when they would migrate to another place. We did some activities, but first we we learned what people in Tonga, Samoa and other people would wear. After that we did some activities. The first activity was to make our tapa. I made 8 different designs on one paper. After that we got to hear some of the music in the Cook Islands. Next we went with another group of people. I learned that a man that traveled all the way from North America to New Zealand and he called the waters the peace full waters because the waters was peace full. The man was the first person to travel all the way to New Zealand. Next we got to see a real waka that people used to travel in. We got to learn that they didn't use any nails to make the waka. After that we went with our groups and we got to travel around the museum. We got to go to the shaking house and the Volcano irrupted the house. Next we went to the elevator to go to level 3. After that we went to the library and we learned about the world war I. After that we had to go back  and meet the other people. We got our bags and went out side to have our lunch. Next I was so disappointed because we had to got back to school.

My Sister Sleep Walking

Footsteps crunching down the stairs as I go further and further. 

As I reached to the door the handle moves. I quickly pounce behind the curtains and the door creaks. My legs begin to shake and I was about to fall.I hear footsteps on the stairs going closer to me. I look at the door and my sister is pouncing in like a clown. I quickly scream and my dad comes rushing down the stairs. My sister is sleep walking.

My dad wake's up my sister and she starts to snore. My dad had to carry my sister up the stairs. I heard a creaking noise going up the stairs as I took each step closer. Creak, Creak, Creak. I felt very scared and I was starting to shake.

After that my mum came down and sent me to sleep. I had to sleep with my dad because I was really scared and frightened. Next we all had a wonderful dream and we all fell asleep.

Duffy Theatre

Today we went to the hall to watch a show. We went in the hall we saw Rosie, Duffy and Uncle Bingo. The part that I liked was when Uncle Bingo were saying Duffy's and Rosie's name wrong. Uncle Bingo was calling Duffy fluffy and Rosie noisy. We even got to sing the Duffy song. Uncle Bingo was good at sports but he doesn't read. When Rosie gave the book to Uncle Bingo he was reading it on the flight. After wards when Rosie and Uncle Bingo opened the Best book a big spider web came out.  Roise and  Uncle Bingo got stuck with the spider web. When we screamed out roar they got free. When Uncle Bingo read the book of ballerina he started to dance.  Uncle Bingo reached to sydney to play his rugby he was a ballerina. Next Duffy, Rosie and Uncle Bingo   finished there show they handed out some books. After we said bye and went back to class. 

I really enjoyed the show because there were funny parts and It was making me laugh.

Going to the farm

Going to the farm

I had screamed out I’m nervous because I had butterflies in my tummy. The wind was blowing through my hair as I took each step closer to the farm. I Went to the farm because we felt really bored at home. So we decided to take a trip to the farm. I felt very very sweaty as I was wearing a big pile of clothes. I lay a big layer of sunscreen on my face so that I didn’t  get sun burnt. My face looked awfully white that I had to wipe some off. I saw a block of hens and roosters that crowded around me and I was scared to escape as I was surrounded by soldiers.

As we were walking around I had an awfully big headache. I sat down and had a little rest for a while and it got a little better. After an hour or so it got better so we carried on walking. Next we saw these beautiful horses and we got to touch them. Next I saw some goat and they had some long horns. I was scared of them that they might tackle me. I saw some  humongous sheep.

Afterwards I was so nervous to say hi to people I didn’t know. My arms were shaking and I went further and further away from them. As they came closer to me I felt more nervous as they took a step closer to me. My legs and arms were shaking when I said bye to them. After that some more people came so I told my dad lets go . After we went to the car and I fell asleep so quick that I was snoring like a loud pig that snores.

This week we are learning about multiplication.

Playing basketball with my sister

I woke up from my sleep and I saw my sister alone bored. i said do you want to play basketball". She said a gigantic yes. She said you can play basketball and I'll tell you some questions about subtractions ad addition. We were playing when she said a hard one. I was surprised. I was thinking about it alot it came to my mid and I said a terrific 3. I was putting to many balls in the hoops until I became tired. I was yawning to much until I just fell asleep. My mum was laughing so much that I had an headache when I was sleeping. I woke up and I told my mum I had a headache. After a few hours I went back to sleep and I was sleeping till the night. 

My Art Reflection

This term we have been learning about landscapes. Our teacher has been showing us lots of landscapes. I really like mixing my colours because we use paint and its really fun. We had to use black and white to make our colours lighter and darker. We have been trying to make brown and we used 3 colours to make brown. We have been looking at Tom Schulten's paintings and we have been getting some ideas. I am really proud of what I have achieved.

Term 2 Reflection

This term we have been tired of all our learning and now our brains are full. We have been learning about writing and this term we have been doing our information report. I have been doing alot of work this term. We have been learning about simple sentences and we have been adding conjunctions into our writing.

We have been reading books online and we really enjoy reading. We have been finding information online and in books.

In maths we have been doing our xtramaths and we have been rounding numbers and compensating. We also go on e-ako maths to help us with our learning. We also have been learning about equivalent fractions.

In our environmental topic we have been learning about animals, habitats and endangered animals. When we went on a trip to botanical gardens and we have been learning about trees.

In our music we have been doing homework about drums. We also have been learning notes on the ukulele and we have been playing instrumental bingo.

At art we have been color mixing and it has been lots of fun. We have been looking at pictures of landscapes of Tom Schultz's art and we have been enjoying very much.

I have been having alot of fun at school this term and I am going to read lots in the holidays.

Interaction Drum Show

Yesterday we went in the hall we saw lots of drums. There were a million. When we sat down Lucie and John where playing some instruments. It sounded so beautiful. We learned an easy beat and beat was I love drums. When I saw this super long looking guitar it had a big circle under it. The drums where kinda weird because I didn't know what the top of the drum was made of. When I saw John using this microphone attached to this kinda looking radio. When John sang and he stopped singing and his voice kept on coming back. It was weird. When we finally heard what John was saying we all felt sad because he said where finished. So we all felt sad and bad. So we went too our classes.
