Te Oro Showcase

Today I went down to Te Oro to present my Te Taiao o Tamaki presentation. Mia, Sanujan, Jeremiah and I all got live streamed. We were all very nervous but we used a clear voice and talked about our learning. 

Franz Joseph Haydn - Composer

This term for music, we had to find 1 composer and research about them. The composer I choose is Franz Joseph Haydn. Something interesting I found out, was that Franz Joseph Haydn was very poor when he was born. 

Te Oro - Te Taiao o Tamaki

 Some pupils at Panmure Bridge School, went down to Te Oro to perform. Since our inquiry topic this term is Te Taiao o Tamaki, we had to base our performance within their topic. I got to watch the live stream at Panmure Bridge School. There were many other school that performed within the Manaikalani Cluster.

Silver Care Award Excellence - Inspirational Quote

For my excellence CARE award I have completed this task. I had to make 3 motivational posters using quotes. These are the three people I have chosen, Anne Frank, Nelson Mandela and Oprah Winfrey

Adding Fractions

Our focus in maths was adding fractions. The game that I have played is called speedway fractions. You had to add fractions to go further into the course. 

Tech - Meat Pies

At tech, we have completed making our meat pies. It was a long process of steps but we finally made our pies. It had a crunch crust which was drizzled with egg, and the filling was delicious. Nazella and I really liked our meat pies and hope to make more at home.

Auckland Stormwater Management Infographic

This is a summary of the Auckland Stormwater Management info graphic. The D group, Oh Hsen, Mathias, Calvin, Javeylor, Shakaia, and I have completed this summary by working collaboratively together. This talks about how many drains and manholes there are, and many other things. 

Question Matrix

In reading, the D group have completed the question matrix. This includes questions about the pollution and what we can do. Oh Hsen, Mathias, Calvin, Javeylor, Shakaia and I have worked collaboratively to get this completed. 

Duffy Role Model Assembly

At the duffy assembly, we had some amazing role models, Catherine, Filipie, and Madison. They are all Oprah singers and they are great influences towards us. They then explained what type of Oprah singing they do. There voices were all so amazing and they really inspired us. Our other duffy quests were Bo and Donna, these quests were from Mainfreight . After a while we got handed our duffy books. We would like to thank Mainfreight for sponsoring us as well as Catherine, Filipie and Madison for coming along. 

Kokako Lodge Brochure

This brochure shows many activities and things that happened during camp. We tried to advertise some of the parts in Kokako lodge. This talks about the cabins, Hunua falls, the kitchen and 3 of the activities. I wrote about why the cabins were very comfortable, facts about Hanua falls, details about the kitchen, and details about some of the activities and instructors. 

Kokako Bird Infographic

To show our learning about the Kokako bird I have added some facts about it onto a google drawing. Something I learnt about the Kokako bird was that they can't fly very well and they prefer jumping with their long legs. This talks about their diet, predators, habitat and appearance.

For 4 days at camp we recorded our day in our own personal diaries. This has some exiting photos of us and fun things we have done at camp.
